From a new beginning to a full-time craft.

Rodney has always worked with wood. In 2013, after the Illinois chemical-industry facilities where he worked closed, he opened an Etsy shop and began building hardwood pieces for other people.

He started with a 4’ x 8’ CNC machine and a business called Custom Woodworking and CNC. As traditional woodworking grew, he sold the CNC and focused on the work that kept finding its way to him: real furniture, built one piece at a time.

Today, Rodney is retired from working for others and works for his customers from Meredosia. When he is not shedding sawdust, he spends time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
